In this lesson we had finally got our corrosion practicals back. As i pressumed, there was quite a bad level of corrosion on some test tubes. The things that I thought would happen, in the most cases, did happen.

1st tube (silicon gel) no reaction

2nd tube (air) - Weakened Nail + colour change to yellow

3rd tube (water) - Rust

4th tube (oil) - Heavy rust.

Todayour whole class in their groups were asked to complete two practicals. The first was on combustion and the second on decomposition. We had to burn magnessium which was an eye opener, literally. This lesson was i suppose good, because we did practicals and practicals are the best part of science.

In todays we all had to do a test on the periodic table. The test proved to be a little difficult, i struggled with a few questions and made a few blunders, but i hope i did okay. Although it was a multiple choice test, I did have a few troubles, also I am not overly confident. oh well.

Our project outline gave us a brief overview of what we had install ahead of us. We went through the rubric and i found, once again, that i am going to dislike this project, but i guess i can’t help it, I just dont like science. The 2nd project, is a lot better however than the first. my group though, is not as good as my previous, and this is going to alter the outcome a little. If i work good though, we can get a lot done and it will be of high quality. Today’s lesson was a very decent lesson, we did a good practical and we all worked very productivly. We took a brief video on our practical, as to use it if we need to present this in any way. Overall, i enjoyed the prac, and it was a very fun lesson.
